Battalian Chief Ray Chaney of CAL FIRE, Ramona Air Attack Base, has fought some of California's biggest fires from the air. With funding and budgeting for firefighting in question, he is constantly on the road to gain support for aerial firefighting. FDNNTV's Bill Lorin was able to sit down with Chief Chaney to talk about some of the challenges facing aerial firefighting.

Cooler temperatures and lighter winds have helped firefighters battling the Sheep Fire in the San Bernardino National Forest.

While hiking in the Jurupa Hills, a 20 year old male lost his footing on the loose, rocky hillside and fell approximately 30 feet down an embankment, landing between boulders, where he was able to brace himself.
