2012 ICISF Regional Conference
2012 ICISF Regional Conference Certificates of Attendance All ICISF conference participants will be awarded general Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from UMBC on their attendance certificate. These attendance certificates are distributed on-site at the completion of each course. All attendees are required to check in at the ICISF Registration Desk before 10:00 a.m. each day in order to verify attendance. Participants who do not pick up their certificate on site at the conference must contact the ICISF office to have their certificate mailed and may be charged an additional fee. If pre-payment or invoicing instructions (Purchase Order) is not provided, Certificates of Attendance will be withheld from attendees until full payment is received by ICISF. UMBC CEUs are awarded at a ratio of one Continuing Education Unit for every 10 Contact Hours (refer to course descriptions for Contact Hours & UMBC CEUs). ICISF certificates of attendance are not proof of profession specific CE/Contact Hours. Many national, state and local licensing boards and professional organizations will grant Continuing Education credit for attendance at our courses (save this information and your Certificate of Attendance). It is the responsibility of the participant to determine if his or her licensing board will accept these CEUs.
Continuing Education The International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. (ICISF) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. ICISF maintains responsibility for this program and its content. CE credit for psychologists is granted on a one credit per one contact hour basis (refer to course descriptions for Contact Hours & CE Credits - not all courses offer APA CE credits). If applying for CE Credits for psychologists, please request CE Credit Application and instructions upon arrival at the conference. Psychologists are required to verify attendance as instructed at the conference and to complete an evaluation form for each course attended. CE Credit Application Packets are to be mailed to ICISF post-conference along with the application fee of $18.00. Complete instructions will be provided at the conference registration desk. Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are available for Employee Assistance Professionals for courses offered at this conference. The number of approved PDHs depends on the course selected, and is equal to the number of contact (instructional) hours for that course. Upon arrival at the conference, please request a Training Attendance Record form and instructions at the conference registration desk; EACC Approval Numbers, content areas and approved number of PDHs for each course will be included in this material. All courses offered at an ICISF conference meet the qualifications for 7, 13 or 14 hours (depending on the courses attended) of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA BBS). Provider Approval No. PCE 2033. California-resident MFTs and LCSWs must pick up an MFT/LCSW CE Hour Application and instructions at the conference registration desk. There is an application fee of $15. Non-California MFTs and LCSWs: it is possible that your state licensing board will recognize CE Hours from the CA BBS; please check with your licensing board to determine this. All courses offered at this conference meet the qualifications for 7, 13 or 14 hours (depending on the course attended) of contact hours for National Certified Addiction Counselors by NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals, Provider Approval No. 497. Please request CE Hour instructions at the conference registration desk. For additional information or questions, please contact Michelle Parks, Continuing Education Coordinator
