Hundreds of firefighters from all Yakima County fire departments as well as Kittitas Fire are trying to get the upper hand on the blaze. There are reports that the fire is now 55 percent contained. Strike teams from across the state are en route to relieve local firefighters, according to KING-TV.

Three firefighters were injured Sunday when their fire engine was overrun by flames. All three are back on the fireline. The fire has burned three homes and several outbuildings. Residents who were asked to evacuated have been allowed back to their homes, according to Channel 5.
