Safiya Songhai is an Emmy Award winning Producer and Television Host hailing from New York, covering the stories of FDNY.
The daughter of a Police Officer, Songhai has covered the "Crime and Justice Beat" at WRNN-TV in Westchester, NY.
Songhai is also a Film Director, pursuing her MFA in Film and Television at New York University.
She has produced shows for Dateline NBC, written for the Washington Post, and appeared on the Rachel Ray and Tyra Show.
Songhai is an advocate for children living in the Foster Care system and is a proud Summa cum Laude graduate of Howard University.
