BullEx Fire Safety Trailer Review

To help education children about fire hazards, the trailers are outfitted with several dangerous scenarios, such as a pot on a stove with the handle facing outward or a spice rack placed over an oven.  They also come with a toaster placed under the kitchen drapes, and it is wired so that with a flick of a switch, the toaster will begin smoking, showing the children why appliances should not be located near draperies or flammable materials.  The trailers also have several toxic cleaning agents screwed into the cabinets, for lessons in poison prevention.

For adult fire safety training, the trailer is equipped with several digital features that can provide realistic fire simulations without actual flame.  One such scenario involves a stove catching on fire and then spreading to an adjacent trash can.  Gary Ziele, an Account Executive with BullEx Digital Safety, explains that there are lasers in a specially designed fire extinguisher and receivers in the stove, oven and trash can that enable people to practice putting out the fire.  Ziele shows the proper way of extinguishing this fire, showing that the stove top fire must be put out first, followed by the trash can fire, and then the gas must be turned off to prevent re-ignition of the fire.

Another feature of the trailer involves the use of a bedroom setting for E.D.I.T.H. training (Exit Drill in the Home).  In this scenario, children can learn what to do when they wake up to a house fire.  Smoke simulators stream smoke under the bedroom door, and the entire door heats up to show children what a real fire would be like and what they should do in the event that a fire does occur in their home.

The trailer comes in several sizes and configurations.  Some floor plans are also set up for industrial fire simulations.  Many fire departments are finding this tool to be an excellent investment for fire safety in their communities.  BullEx assists its customers in obtaining funding for the fire safety trailers with private, local and state grants.
